Karabagh ‘Open – Close’
Description
A decorative and extremely elegant rare large Karabagh with an ‘open-close’ design (achma-yuma) featuring two and a half blue medallion on a deep red field, also adorned by half medallions placed laterally. The piece is singed and date ‘1327’ (1910). The eagle’s beak border surrounds the field. The piece is in overall very good condition for its age.
