Description
Fantastic square ChiChi rug finely knotted by the Chechen tribes in North-Eastern Caucasus. Woven on a rare squarish format, this 19th century masterpiece is featured by the famous wide border with rosettes and diagonal bars that surrounds the night blue field, adorned by horizontal rows of hooked polygons alternating with octagons filled with stars. Exceptional qualty. The piece is in very good condition for its age.
