Fantastic and extremely rare square Afshar, finely knotted in the 19th century on a wool foundation. The piece features a beautiful ivory field adorned by an all-over design with flowers and cyresses, with ‘wave’ shaped floral branches. Three fine multiple borders surrounding the field. The carpet is in overall good condition for its age.
