This fine and colorful so-called ‘Mishen’ Malayer displays a beautiful night blue open field adorned by a large and archaic sun-shaped medallion with a light blue nucleus enclosing a lotus flower. The gorgeous spandrels complete field, which is surrounded by a pastel red border where palmettes with arabesque outlines, rosettes and botehs are linked by a vine.. The piece is in very good condition for its age.
