This insanely fine Qajar pictorial Tehran was woven for anIranian upper class/noble family in the late 19th century. The piece, knotted in a very unusual squarish format, has been adorned with a beautiful Safavid-inspired design on a deep and vibrant red field, surrounded by a beautifully drawn border. In excellent condition.
