Tabriz Zire Khaki

Description

This ivory ground Tabriz show a  ‘Zir Khaki’ drawing. Zire Khaki literally means “under the ground” and is referred to Persian archeological finds. In fact, the design includes historical finds found underground as vases, swards, and pitchers. The field is surrounded by a ‘salmon’ pink border with cartouches enclosing poems. The carpet is in perfect condition, full pile.
