Tabriz ‘Narvani’

Description

This fine and incredible piece, knotted with soft and shiny kurk wool in the workshop of master ‘Narvani’, is a reproduction of the famous 17th century Safavid ‘Tree’ carpet (preserved in the Philadelphia Museum of Art) featuring six column-like green cypress trees and many other floral motifs such as palmettes, trees, leaves and blossoms floating in a rare brick red field. The carpet is in excellent condition, full pile.
