Fabulous Tabriz ‘Haji Jalili’

Description

This breathtaking and archaic Tabriz was woven in the 19th century in the workshop of one of the greatest masters of the 19th century: Haji Jalili. Known for unusual color palette of the carpets of his workshop, which didn’t use the classic red-and-blue color composition, his pieces stand out for audacity and elegance. The extremely archaic design, together with its unusual proportions and structure indicate that this masterpiece is an early Haji Jalili work, dating back to the 1880s. Finely knotted. Sublime quality. Very good condition.
