Tabriz ‘Benlian’


Tabriz masterpiece woven in the 20s in the Benlian Workshop in Tabriz. Benlian was a British-Armenian firm enstabilished in Tabriz in the early 1900s opening a workshop specialized in high quality Persian carpets and reproduction of early Safavid carpets. This breathtaking example features a a stunning ‘Shah Abbas’ design on a deep red field surrounded by a blue floral border. The piece is in excellent condition, full pile.
