Rare Khorasan

Unusual format, unusual color palette, unusual design scheme (missing spandrels). This quite rare and super elegant Persian woven artwork was knotted in Khorassan, Northeastern Persia, over 100/110 years ago. The field has been enriched with a central medallion and a night blue floating spirals. The night blue border is adorned by blossoms and palmettes linked by vines. The piece is in very good condition for its age.
