An antique Tabriz carpet, dating to the early 20th century, with a rich all-over Shah Abbas design set against a deep red field and framed by a striking intense blue border. The carpet is signed by Javan Amirkhiz, one of the leading and most active Tabriz master weavers of the early 1900s. The dense floral pattern and strong contrast between the red field and blue border give the piece a particularly rich and vibrant character.
