An eagle’s beak ivory border surround the stunning blue field of this magnificent ‘Saf’, or ‘Saph’ or ‘Tachte’ Shirvan, a top quality example of the type. The motifs in the field consists of two house-like forms and an architectural design (“throne of Solomon”) with stunning and archaic huma figures in the lower and upper part of the field. Collector’s piece. Excellent condition.
