Caucasian Kazak Kilim

Description

Stunning and extremely rare Kazak Kilim runner displays a horizontal stripe design without vertical borders. Its design consists of nine wide horizontal panels showing large, geometric basic designs. The panels alternate hexagons decorated with sprawling double hooks (also known as “spider güls”)  containing stepped diamonds and scorpion güls (symbol of protection) with comb motives and parmak motives (fingers), also both symbols of protection. The piece is in perfect condition.
