Hereke Silk

Description

Hereke silk carpets, were finely knotted in Imperial workshops from the first quarter of the 20th century. This gorgeous example displays a large flowering plant coming our from a large vase with fishes in it. A deep burgundy red features the upper part of the field and the fine border, enriched by flowers, vines and birds. In perfect condition.
