Mujur

3.300,00€

Description

The lack of symmetry and apparent logic of the blue abrash in the upper part of the field are the most striking features of this sublime Anatolian  Mujur/Mudjur carpet. Knotted in the late 19th century, the running-water outer border surrounds the main border which displays small stylised flowers alternating with rectangular shapes enclosing zig-zag motifs on an oxidized dark brown. Three Elibelinde motifs are drawn in the lower and upper panels of the field which encloses a large red adorned hexagon. The colors are simply outstanding. The piece is in nearly perfect condition.
