Hereke Silk Millefleurs

Description

Hereke silk carpets, were finely knotted in Imperial workshops from the first quarter of the 20th century. This fabulous example of the type is features by the timeless ‘Millefleurs’ design, finely drawn on a rare blue/grey field color. The ivory spandrels complete the field, which is surrounded by a vibrant red border enriched by flowers and blossoms linkes by vines. The piece is in perfect condition.
