Description

This magnificent red-ground Karapinar, woven in the third quarter of the 19th century, displays a large hexagonal central medallion with attached pendants enclosing a massive, white cruciform blossom. The large main border features stylised blossoms alternating with stylised leaves. The piece is in very good condition for its age.
